Human and organizational factors

Society is in a state of flux, and we have found ourselves increasingly challenged by changes in our field of work in recent years. RIVM developed a new strategy and a new organizational structure in 2012, with twelve new centres and six chief science officers (CSOs), in order to prepare for the future.

mensen vergaderenWe also took further steps to ensure our scientific integrity in 2012. We confirmed our adherence to the ‘Code for the prevention of improper influence due to conflict of interests’ drawn up by the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences KNAW and appended our own Addendum to this code, which describes how RIVM encourages and ensures scientific integrity and ensures the transparency of our scientific activities.
